I'm a parent in this district and at a meeting at Smith Elementary, the superintendent refused to hear about PTA's or PTO's. The district has Parent Involvement Committees that have administrator led agendas. Parents were told that the previous year's PTO supposedly only spent hours gossiping. This is wrong to kill parental rights when it's been our right to organize in a PTA or like organization (PTO) since 1995. We could use your support.
