When filling out the EIN form it will ask you - What is your Legal Structure? Choices are PTA/PTO.....

Wouldn't I want to answer Other Non-Profit Tax Exempt organization? I will be completing the 501(c)3 at some point. - kalnkl
You haven't complete the 501(c)3 and been approved so you can't select anything that says you're non-profit. I'd say PTA/PTO.
