Celebrating teacher appreciation week is a great thing to do -- it can help build good feelings and improve your school's community spirit. You don't necessarily have to buy anything for teachers, though. They'll appreciate small services (like washing their cars during the day), personalized thank-yous from the kids (you can organize these), a homemade luncheon catered by the PTO, etc. Our teacher appreciation page has lots of links with ideas and tips for celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week.
