You'll have to read your bylaws to answer that question.
Many organizations have rules about who can serve on the audit committee.
First place in the bylaws to look is in a "financial" or "fiscal year" articles or maybe yours has a "audit" article. If nothing refers to who is on the committee, check the duties of the officers or chairmen. Sometimes one of the officers has the job.
If nothing is said anywhere, and if your org. is "membership driven", then a regular member can serve.
