Middle School Student Involvement

What are some ideas of how other PTO have given back to the students at the middle school level. At our school it seems to always be about the teachers (nothing against that because they deserve it). In the past certain clubs or sports groups have requested items and the request was turned down. Looking for any ideas.

A good portion of our PTO funds are being used for Rachel's Challenge, for both the upfront expense of having the program in the school and continuing with various projects throughout the year. RC is all about teaching kindness and compassion to our students and changing the culture of the school.
