We are starting a PTO at my sons school the school has not had a PTO or a PTA in over ten years. My question is how to we get the fund to start up like buy insurance and other things we need to be a PTO? any help will do thank you

It's OK to run a fundraiser while you are getting organized. You can do something small like a bake sale to get the money to run a welcome event like an ice cream social, for example. Once you have volunteers in place, you can run a larger fundraiser.
