Q&A

Teachers Booth for Fundraisers

Can you use a person who sells a product (ex. candles) as a fundraiser booth. The person selling the candles would make a small commission on the sale and donate the rest of the money to the school. Can you have a booth like this to raise money for the school even if the person selling will make a small commission for themselves?

Yes, certainly. Another way to handle this is to have a fair and sell the booth space. Example: candle maker pays you $75 to have a booth at your fair (or other event), then keeps all of the profits. That makes the transaction much simpler on both sides. You receive a guaranteed amount of money, and the candlemaker has more upside -- the more candles he can sell, the more he can make.
