Hi Wendylsoto, Our first suggestion would be to take a look at our article on switching from a PTA to a PTO, which gives you an overview on the steps you need to taking, starting with getting an EIN number for your new PTO. This should give you a good overview. You might also want to take a look at our message board threads on this topic. It's a good way to connect with other parents/parent group leaders who have been through this process.
