Handling Volunteers

Hi - When there is a function at your school, who is in charge of placing the volunteers? What happens if someone doesn't volunteer and they show up and place themselves wherever they want to go?

at our school the chair of the event coordinates and recruits their volunteers. If a volunteer shows up who isn't assigned a job they should then see the chair.

Try using volunteer management software. Vounteers can choose their assignments and the software limits the number of sign-ups to your needed head count. www.TheSchoolVolunteer.org is one example of such softare.
