Can a school PTO have a private PTO site for "members" & officers only and post school and PTO events and meetings and Parents can not join? I was told I should be lucky I am a member! How can they call it School X PTO and Parents can't view the information?

If the group has set up their Facebook account as a personal account, it works like your own Facebook page -- friend requests can be accepted or denied. It seems odd, however, that they would exclude parents at your school. What we've seen in these cases is PTOs have set it up as a personal account because they don't want folks from outside of the school viewing their photos and information.
