Q&A

PTO Newsletter

I am the newly elected PTO President this year and I would like to do a newsletter monthly letting the parents know about us and the activities going on. My goal is to have one ready for our business night in August so we can get the new volunteers involved. We have never had a newsletter before. Any ideas or help on what to put in there would be greatly appreciated!

Hello CESCHOOL,

First, congratulations on your new position!

For newsletters, we have an article that is a great starting point. It goes over the basics of what should be in a newsletter.

We also have sample newsletters in our File Exchange that have been uploaded by community members. Here's the link to newsletter templates.

Other communications documents and resources are on our File Exchange that you may find helpful.

Also, you might want to take a look at our clip art gallery. We have many new images that you can download and use for free in your newsletters to jazz them up a bit.

Good luck!

If you have dates for your upcoming events, you could list those. Also list your contact info and if you have a Facebook page etc.
