I am filing our tax return for last fiscal year (our first time to file). We have not yet filed to become a 501c3 but plan to do so in the near future. However, on the tax form it asks to check a box regarding tax exempt status. What do I put? -
In section B check "application pending" and in section J check 501(c)(3) since that is what you will be applying for.
