School treasurer as parent group treasurer

Our school treasurer is wanting to run for treasurer of our parent group, wouldn't this be a conflict of interest?

I would think yes, check with the bylaws and then any policies/procedures in place within the school.

In general, I'd suggest letting parents fill board positions, if any parents are available. In cases where you just can't fill a slot, then consider a teacher or other school employee.
