Needing a better understanding

Pto President first year but the ladies on the board always say we are raising money for the school. but anytime the teachers are asking for things they say we are not a bank and they need to figure some things out for themselves. the teachers do come out of pocket for a lot of things so what are we really responsible for or obligated to do. The money that is donated or we fundraise to get what is it used for if not the school. needing some direction. Ms. Snells

You should be working for the kids to make better schools for them, I am in agreement with you. You should be helping the school and if that is by helping the teachers than I think that is where you should be focusing the efforts. You may want to look at your mission statement and your bylaws to see where the focus of the group should be. Cheryl PTO Today
