Currently our By Laws read "Any parent, guardian, or other adult standing in loco parentis for a student currently attending . . ." but we had a question about remaining a dues paying member once their kids no longer attend our school. We are leaning toward no, but it's a long-time trusted volunteer. The problem comes when some total outsider wants to be a member with voting rights etc. Any thoughts or ideas on how to handle this are appreciated! -
your bylaws sound like they read, any parent, guardian, or other adult standing in loco parentis for a student CURRENTLY attending school. I think currently is the key word in the bylaws.
