PTO pay for limo for teachers to use a holiday party?
I have a request from a teacher that we use PTO funds to pay $600 for a limo to transport teachers to the holiday party. It strikes me as outside educational purposes but another member thinks of it is part of teacher appreciation. I feel the funds could be spent on something more lasting. What do you think? I do not think parents would like the idea. I am at a private school but our PTO is a nonprofit. -
Curious how this was handled? This does not seem to fall under the realm of typical PTO expenditures for teachers, but I suppose a case could be made for the teacher appreciation angle.
