Our school has a new PTO. Our PTA has been losing members over the yrs. It doesn't look like we will have a board next year.
We have over $20k in the bank. The board has discussed donating the majority of funds to the new PTO and leaving a small amount to finish out the year. Is there a max donation that can be made to the new PTO? Last yr, we almost didn't have a board and PTA District said they would hold our funds for 2 yrs if we went dormant. We rallied the troops for one more year but no one wants District to hold our funds in any capacity. Thanks for the advice. -
