Unfortunately, after our president left the school, no one on the PTO has stepped forward to stand for President. We’ve just started our school year, and a lady who has not been on the PTO board before, has volunteered for the position. However, our bylaws say that ‘A vacancy in the office of the President can be filled by any PTO officer or Board members by a majority vote of the PTO board’. So this lady can’t volunteer? Is there a way round this?
