It is tough when there's a difficult person in the group. What kinds of rules are being broken? What did she go over your head about? Trying to get more of a feel of the kinds of problems she's causing. It sounds like they would be pretty bad if you want to banned from PTO functions. You can't really get rid of someone because they are "difficult.'' But if this person is doing anything illegal (you mentioned breaking rules), then you would need to take action. Our PTO has a board member who is extremely difficult to work with and who blatantly disregards the rules in school that the rest of us follow. She gets around our rules by running to the administration and going over our heads. We wanted to remove her and "discouraged" by administration. We wanted to block her from in-school PTO functions and weren't allowed. Can the principal actually control who we keep on our board if the majority want her gone?
