I would like to offer a word of caution to those reading these posts. As the owner of West Coast Fund Raising, I can tell which posts are being offered by those in the industry.

I'm embarrassed and ashamed of those companies who would use this forum to undermine their competitors. There has been so much false information posted about us, Sally Foster, Innisbruk, etc. that all I can say is "shame on you" to those who are trying to hurt other people's businesses.

I'm happy to clarify or answer any questions you may have about our company and certainly willing to give you referrals of actual schools who have worked with us.

I assure you That none of our reps have posted or will ever post anything negative about any other company.

Please be cautious in what you believe.

dad is right would you like to make 50% profit 20,000 dollar sale or 47% on 25,000 dollar sale percentage is just a number. on trying to find a company for school we have been looking at all this. every company is charging the tax unless you live in a state that does not require schools to pay a tax and theres not to many that does that. plus some of the 50 percent companys product was high in price we have compared and some of them have and avg retail of 13.00 as high as 16.00. plus there charging for there extra parties and incentives. some as much as 10% of your profit. We have not used west coast fundrasing but have heard from schools in the area that they raised more money this year than last year. thats pretty good for a bad economy. they said the kids liked there incentives and the prizes they got more for selling less.
MyMom'sdaughter what state do you live. in california we all pay taxes we were charged last year to by the company we used and the year before also, by a different company. they all charge tax in california.

MyMom'sdaughter,

How much money did you make? You never told us. Again, for the 1,000th time---the percentage you receive from a company has little to do with how much money you make. Perhaps West Coast lowers their prices on many of their items and offers a lower percent on those items. Heck, if a company offers my school 40% and we make $10,000 and another company offers 50%, but we only make $8,000, which company should we choose?

West Coast's profit (45-55%) is misleading. When our Treasurer looked back on our paperwork we realized that 45-55% equals only 47% profit BEFORE OUR TAXES WERE TAKEN OUT!!!! Most other companies give 50%. We did a jog-a-thon last Fall but it did not go well. We are looking for a new company.
