Club's Choice

As a mother who supported a Club's Choice fundraiser for another school I will just say that the pizza and pizza dippers were beyond disgusting. Everyone in my office who bought them agreed. They all ended up in the garbage - not even the children would eat them.

If you want to raise money by selling a food product why not sell something that acutally tastes good like Butterbraids.

We use Market Day which I believe is similar to Clubs Choice. Has anyone used both of them? Is one better then the other? I had never heard about Club's Choice before, so I am curious.

We have used Club's Choice for 2 years and had a great experience. We are a school of about 500 students and we didn't offer incentive selling(each child who participated got a small prize)and we made about $10,000. That was 40% on some product 50% on some product. Our rep was very responsive to any problems and provided samples and cooked for the staff on kick-off day. Good experience overall.

Hey Rocky, watch me pull a rabbit out of my hat.

Metzy Mom,

See my Club Choice User post. Oops! I started a new thread on it.

We used this company as well for our school last year of almost 600 students. They followed through with everything and promptly. Our delivery was very organized and when some of it could not be delivered, our rep came back another day to try again because we don't have room. We were promptly reimbursed for items returned, less than 2 weeks. They only thing I didn't like was that the product was not of the best quality. Some of the items, like the cheesecakes, are awesome, but everything else is a little bland. I could see doing it again in 2-3 years because we had a great response-people will always buy food!

The irony of commitment is that it’s deeply liberating-in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around as rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. --Anne Morris

I'm proud of you for being so thorough in your questioning!

A) Did the representative come through "on paper" with the promises he/she made? Yes. He did in the past and shows every sign of doing so with this fundraiser, which closed Friday.

1. Cook a 'sample' lunch/dinner for school staff and/or PTO meeting. Yes. He offered samples at a pta/staff/family meeting. We had a chance to sample MOST of the products, though not all. I'd say it was a representative sample of the top sellers.

2. Cook a 'sample' lunch/dinner for everyone at a family fun night. Nope. But we didn't ask him too, either.

3. Accumulative prize program, as well as teacher incentives, parent incentives, PTO group incentives, top seller incentives, top classroom sales incentives, etc. We were offered prizes for individual sellers that ranged from the usual kid-loved trash up to a motorized scooter that I sort of wanted myself! He also is putting on a pizza party for the winning class. Beyond that, there were no additional incentives.

B) Did the representative follow through on all aspects of the written contract? Yep. No problem there.

C) How long did it take to be reimbursed for incentives (pizza parties, ice cream parties, gift cards, etc We didn't do any incentive programs that were outside of what he offered to handle himself. We're a REALLY small school, so the program his company offered was pretty attractive to our kids.

The result? We netted about $1,600--remember we have a student body of only 101 kiddos. We're happy with that because it's only one of the fundrasiers we're having this year.

Have you tried butterbraids? They sell like hotcakes around the holidays.

You go, girl!
