What I like to do, when possible. I make a seperate sheet for each thing. I just put a heading then I number lines. I mention on my newletter or web page that sign ups are available. Usually I would post the sheets in the workroom or ask people to contact me. The numbers help me know how many people we have where and if I need to ask someone to do another thing.

Excel(and other spreadsheet programs) is a great program, but unfortunately it is not my friend. :( If you have knowledge of the program or know someone who can show you that will be helpful in PTO career. I have always been blessed with having alot of computer literate people around.

Under Microsoft works taks launcher, there is a fundraising catagory and it has a volunteer sign up sheet. I also have a very simple one I use for just general time slots, no specific jobs needed. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. Wendy.

I use a spread sheet that I created on Microsoft excel. If you would like a copy of it, please email me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

How big is your school? We have about 500 students with a staff of about 55 people. Our Halloween Carnival is on a Friday and end's 30 minutes before school does. Our 4-H club and Faculty takes care of clean-up. The PTO board with a few volunteers set up the night before. Each teacher is assinged to a booth for the duration of the carnival. I also assign one other parent per 30 minute shift to each game booth. We have 2 teachers in our ticket booth. (We encourage parents to purchase tickets in advance.) I have 2 parents along with 1 teacher in the sweet booth. I have 4 parents along with one teacher in the food booth and in the drink booth. Our prize booth has 4 teachers. We also have 2 teachers in our ticket redemtion booth. We have 2 teachers in the bank. Our PTO board float from booth to booth the entire day.
