Parent involvement in education is like the frosting on a cupcake, it makes it complete and oh so sweet.

Education is like a baseball game, it needs all its players: parent, teacher, community, and student.

Here are a few of my fav volunteer quotes:

"I always wondered why somebody doesn't do something about that. Then I realized I was somebody."
~Lily Tomlin

"Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not."~Dr. Seuss, The Lorax

"Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has." ~Margaret Mead

The child's first and most influential teacher is the parent.

A child's ideas about education and its significance begin with the parent.

Improving the effectiveness of the home as a learning environment is critical to promoting long-term school success.
