Health & Wellness Fair

I organized this twice at my kids' former school and it was a fun family fitness night. It was free and free for the invited groups. We had stations and gave families an order to rotate in so that they were able to enjoy all of the activities without a huge mob forming in one area. We first started with a local pediatrician as a short guest speaker. She talked about H1N1 during that scare. Here are some of the stations we did during those two years: run-walk in the halls (the most popular - the PE teachers logged their laps to give them credit for their running for run-walk club), Taekwondo, wii kinect sports, pacer testing, flexibility checks, blood pressure screening (for adults only by the school nurse and some parents who are nurses and doctors), hula hoops, jumpropes and dance (as one station), cheerleading (local high school cheerleaders performed and taught). We had a few information tables set up by a local dentist, physical therapist, etc. We gave out fruit/yogurt/water. Hope that helps!

Hello -

Our PTA is putting together a Health & Wellness Fair. Looking for any ideas and advise.

Currently thinking on having vendors come in of all sorts .. Would we charge these vendors ? (We do a craft fari and charge not sure if it is appropriate)

We thought of demonstrations in Gym for kids to participate that is all we have at this point.

Any advice helpful.

Thanks !
