start by volunteering in your child's classroom. Once teachers see you helping out the "word' will get to the "right" people and before you know it the PTO will be calling you for everything!! Stick with it and keep smiling, it took me two and half years before I even knew the school had a PTO.

I'm from a small town & attended a small town school. I know how most small towns feel about outsiders. I'm not bothered about it. My children love the school so I love the school. I'm over being upset about this. It is what it is.
