Thanks so much ladies!! I love both ideas, I think the craft idea would work for our elementary schoolers and getting the parents involved over at the middle school would be great for home businesses considering we have so many here! I ll be sharing these with the rest of the team. Thanks again!!

ImAMmom-
Are you doing the boutique so kids can shop for their moms (like a santa shop) or is it for dads and other people to shop? From my perspective if it's for the kids I'd rather not get junk from bulk places like oriental trading. Our school did a craft workshop for the kids so they can make things to give mom. This was a huge hit. Might want to consider doing this?

Our school has held a few boutiques. The most success we had was when we reached out to our parents and their own businesses. We allowed them to come and set up tables in our MPR for a small fee and they in turn got to sell their specialty items such as makeup, purses, clothing, scrapboking, crafts, etc. We also sold small pastry items and drinks.
You can also look for vendors in your area on-line but the parents appreciate it when they are involved and are able to not only support their school but make some money in the process.
Hope this helps.
