Why would you not want to inform all the parents. It is their PTO. Not notifying as many people as possible would make it appear you and the board are trying to do something in secret.

Allthough your bylaws state different, it would be ideal to communicate upcoming elections as much as possible. Do you have a PTO website? If you do, the website would be a great place to post upcoming elections. It is one venue of communication. If faculty in your school is aware of the website then I thiink that should be good enough so you don't have to go out of your way. Or you can always have a flyer located in the mail room....since every teacher goes to get their mail:)

I WAS JUST WONDERING IT DOES NOT STATE IN OUR BY LAWS THAT YOU HAVE TO INFORM THE ENTIRE SCHOOL THAT A NEW ELECTION IS COMING UP FOR OUR 2011 EXECUTIVE BOARD DO WE HAVE TO TELL THE WHOLE SCHOOL OR JUST THE MEMBERS ON THE BOARD?
