Regarding Dogswell - they are sending my gift basket next week (literally, days prior to our event) - we contacted them in November via their website and they don't contact you until right before your event. Has anyone gotten a Dogswell gift basket? If so, can you tell me the types of items in it and the approx. value? We're doing our marketing pieces now and I just wanted to have an idea. thanks!

I have not received a donation from a Disneyland-area hotel yet (Truth to tell, I haven't tried this year, although I should get off my duff and do so).

But start your search here:

www.mousesavers.com/merchandise.html

It seems like a pretty savvy resource for people who are searching for Disney-related deals. Perhaps we can all troll the websites of the area hotels and figure out if any of them are a soft touch.

Disney is fine with them being used in an auction - just not an ONLINE auction. And if anyone has a contact phone number for them, I'll make the same call I made to Big Apple Circus and see if I can get a similar result.

I spoke this morning to the person in charge of donations at Big Apple Circus, regarding the restriction against selling donated tickets in an online auction.

Her primary concern is that they also sell their tickets online (through Bidding For Good and other venues), and do not want people who Google "Big Apple Circus Tickets" to be directed away from their online sales page to someone else's. Which seems reasonable.

I asked about online auctions that were more private; she said she has nothing against Big Apple tickets being used in such a way, as long as someone could not find it in an internet search, or a search on Bidding for Good.

There are online-auction platforms that allow you to hide the auctions from the search engines; I specifically asked about whether that would mollify her concerns and she said that it would.

I am in need of a hotel, condo or house in Orlando area to go along with our SeaWorld and Disney tickets (would like 3 or 4 nights). I can trade similar with a condo in downtown Charleston, SC! Our event is April 9th! vkspann@ gmail.com
