This is my first year fundraising/doing auctions. Anyone have tips for a newbie?

Also our school is located in pierce county, we are not affiliated with any religious organizations, we have our 501.c non-profit status.

Anyone having great successes with local (Greater Seattle area) businesses?

Is there a list anywhere of hotels that frequently donate? Has anyone had success with any? I've received a confirmation email from Elite Island Resorts, but what they say they're sending seems a bit too good to be true. Has anyone successfully dealt with them before? Thanks!

Can anyone that has received a donation from Books a Million describe what was donated and how it was used at their event.
