Small Teacher Appreciation Ideas

This year we are doing a really nice lunch for our teachers and staff. We are asking parents to come in and do recess duty after each classes lunch. That way our teachers can have some extra time to eat lunch and relax. It is a small gesture, but it will go a long way.

We are a small school and found our teachers love the "class" pottery" so much that we decided to use it in our auction. It's especially great for the younger grades and the cost is quite small depending on the piece that is chosen. Little characters and animals are made from student's fingerprints along with their names. It's a real keepsake.

Oh I forgot that the dollar stores carry nice smelling hand soaps and lotions which would be perfect for staff restrooms. :)

- Set out a bowl of individually wrapped life saver candies with a note "We appreciate our Teachers & Staff a "HOLE" lot!

- Set our a bowl of individually wrapped mints (such as peppermint gum, junior mints, york peppermint patties) with a note "Thanks for your Commit-"MINT" to our school!"

Place bowls of candy in teacher's lounge or other places where teacher's congregate. Most of these candies can be bought inexpensively at party supply stores or even dollar stores.

You could even purchase several packets of seeds (from discount stores) and put those in the teacher's lounge with a note like "Thanks for planting seeds of success!" or "A Garden of Thanks for all you do!" or "Our school blossoms because of you"
