Today, having several students with a food allergy in the classroom is the norm, and the food allergy is often peanuts. Schools, teachers, and homeroom moms are constantly adapting activities that used to center around food to meet the needs of today’s classroom. It is not just food allergies that have prompted a change in the number of food centered activities at school. A focus on healthier lifestyle choices has created change as well.
