My Tip of the Week: Tell Us How Your School Fights Hunger

If you do anything at all around hunger, you have to check out Schools Fight Hunger.

I'm always recommending that schools and PTOs and PTAs brag more about their good work. And I know that tons of schools help the hungry in so many ways, whether it's a canned goods drive or a breakfast or a speaker series on the topic. That's why I like the new "Share Your Story" feature. If your school or PTO or PTA does anything to participate in this important fight, I hope you'll tell the world about it on the Schools Fight Hunger site.

Schools Fight Hunger is a new nonprofit that I've been involved with and that PTO Today is proudly supporting. We have a bunch of new, very cool developments around SFH coming out in the next weeks and months. I hope you'll sign up for SFH updates or follow SFH on Facebook.

Of course, if your school isn't yet involved with the hunger fight, we hope you'll get involved in some way in 2011. It's such important work and a great way to get our students real-world experiences in giving back and doing good.
