Student Art
REX BOHN

We have found that items made by students bring in big dollar amounts at our school’s silent auction and provide a way for all the students to be involved in the fundraising process. We used the black/rainbow scratch material often used in art classes. Each child was given a 4.5-inch square to scratch his or her own design. We mounted them onto mat board to look like a quilt, framed it, and let the bidding frenzy begin! Because we had an uneven number of students, we added a square with all the artists’ names on it to fill in the space. We listed the artists in order (left to right, top to bottom) so all work could be identified. We also added the name of the school and the date to fill a 20X30 frame.
