A Massachusetts PTO is hosting its annual School Fair this Saturday with a timely twist—an Olympics theme. Major points for a great idea!

The 2012 Summer Olympics will be held this year in London, starting on July 27.

The PTO of the Peaslee Elementary School in Northborough, Mass., reports it will have an Olympics torch-passing ceremony to kick things off, with fifth graders passing the torch down through the grades until the kindergarten students have a turn. The school will conduct the ceremony outdoors if the weather cooperates.

The parent group said it offered local businesses different levels of sponsorship that correspond with Olympic medal categories. A Bronze sponsorship goes for $25-$49, a Silver is between $50 and $74, a Gold is between $75 and $99, while a Decathlon Gold sponsorship is $100-plus.

The event will include many games with Olympic themes, such as archery, basketball, and a relay race. Crafts will be a big focus of the fair and kids will be able to create things such as their own Olympic torch.
