Looking for a way to honor retiring educators, a South Carolina parent group took its inspiration from Hollywood—the Byrd Elementary PTO in Graniteville created a school Walk of Fame using stepping stones. Each stone bears the name of a recently retired employee and is decorated with student artwork. The PTO will continue adding stones for each staff member who retires from the school.
