{Featured Theme: Charlie Brown Thanksgiving}

For many kids and adults, Thanksgiving is as much about watching the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving special as it is playing football in the yard and eating copious amounts of turkey and 'taters. Why not bring the tradition into the classroom with this lighthearted Charlie Brown Thanksgiving theme from thegirlcreative.com? A fun treat for this theme is Snoopy’s thrown together Thanksgiving meal of jelly beans, pretzels, and popcorn!

 Thanksgiving Tree

Buy a ready-made tree for your classroom, like this one from Party City, or have the kids make one ahead of time, or as an activity during the party. Simply collect a few large branches and assemble them together. Secure in a vase using floral foam or acorns. To make the “thankful leaves”, kids can trace leaves onto construction paper and trim, or seal real leaves using Mod Podge. Once dry, punch a hole in the top of each leaf, and string twine through to loop. Using a Sharpie, each child then writes something he is thankful for on a leaf, along with his name, and then hangs it on the tree.

Festive Feathered Mason Jars

A mason jar makes anything look good -- and chances are at least one your class party activities will call for crayons or markers, which fit quite nicely inside!  Simply tie a feather or two to each jar using twine or jute and fill with markers, crayons, pencils and more.

Table Cloths

You can't go wrong going with a few basic table cloths in Thanksgiving colors like brown, orange and gold. Add a runner in a complementary color down the middle to highlight the supplies needed for your activities, or your "feast". A Thanksgiving themed table cloth like this one from Party City also adds a festive touch to your desks and tables.
