In a tasty twist to an old standby, the PTA of Plainview Old Bethpage John F. Kennedy High School in Plainview, N.Y., recently hosted a chili cookoff. Instead of relying on parents, the group asked three principals from their school and neighboring schools as well as the high school’s culinary students to serve as chefs. To add a dash of extra spice to the event, the PTA asked high school music students, including an a cappella group, to entertain the tasters.
