We have two large bulletin boards located just outside of the cafeteria. One board is strictly for volunteer recognition; each time a volunteer completes three hours, we put their name on a purple lightning bolt and hang it on that bulletin board. We decorate the other one for the seasons and post upcoming events. I take a lot of pictures at the school so we always have pictures posted on and around it. The students really love that, and now it seems the board gets more attention than ever. We also post our budget every month, as well as [recognize] participants in our new corporate sponsorship program. We wanted the board to be widely visible—teachers, parents, and students should be able to see it each day.
