Interesting question. On one hand, you might be providing a valuable service to the administration and enhance your position in the school. On the other hand, you might find yourselves caught in the middle between other organizations and school officials. Also, you don't want to spend a lot of your time essentially doing administrative tasks rather than working toward your group's own goals. I'd suggest talking in detail with the principal/administration to find out what specific tasks they want you to perform, amount of time and work it's likely to take, and what the issues have been in the past. I'd also suggest talking to the other school groups to make sure they're on board. I wouldn't say don't do it, but if you do, make sure you gather all the information you can and go in with your eyes open. Good luck!
