Materials:
- Googly eyes
- Paper hearts of various colors and sizes (suggest you pre-cut these)
- Scissors
- Paper for cutting/pasting other shapes the kids might want to cut
- Glue (only if the craft will have time to dry before the end of the party, otherwise use tape)
- Tape
- An assortment of pompoms, pipe cleaners, feathers, dried pasta, markers, etc.*
*Note: none of these are required. The googly eyes and heart shape is what makes this craft fun, the rest of the items are optional.
Directions:
Cut out heart shapes ahead of time
Prepare 1 or 2 Valentine People ahead of time for the kids to use as inspiration
Use paper plates or small dishes to layout your googly eyes and other crafting materials for each station
Suggest the kids make a Valentine Friend and use whatever materials they’d like!
Options:
For younger grades have some pre-cut shapes for eyes, nose, mouth, top hat, etc.
Extra hands to help with the glue or making tape rolls at each station will be helpful.
