Materials:

For the Frame: Popsicle sticks (8 per child), glue, paint (optional)

For the Photo: Ask the kids to bring in a photo of themselves or have them draw a self-portrait or write a message for their parents.

To Decorate the Frame: Assortment of cotton balls, pom poms, stickers, buttons, markers, bingo dabbers, glitter glue, etc.

 

How to Assemble:

*You could paint the frame but supplying colored popsicle sticks mean a lot less mess to clean up!

Decorate the frame with whatever you have available. Glitter glue is a popular option!

Have the kids bring in a photo of themselves or draw their own picture. If they’re making their own picture have them cut the paper to the right size first so they know what space they’re working with. You could pre-cut squares to keep it simple or have the kids measure and cut if they're a little older.

Glue the picture to the back of the frame. Young kids might need a little help with this step as they’ll be gluing the front of the picture, not the back like they’re used to doing.
