Materials:

  • Thin cardboard from your recycling. Cereal box cardboard is ideal.
  • Scissors
  • Ruler
  • Glue
  • Ribbon (optional)
  • Sticker back or regular foam 4 leaf clovers (optional you could use green construction paper and make your own)
  • Media of your choice: Watercolors, markers, crayons, colored pencils (or do a combo)

How To Make:

Have an adult cut out the front or back of a cereal box. Decide how large you want your frame to be and trim accordingly.

Depending on ages, use a ruler to mark the sides of the frame and the area in the center for a picture.

In the center of the frame draw your St. Patrick’s day picture. Rainbows, pots of gold and 4 leaf clovers are fun.

If you used paint, allow to dry or proceed to decorate the sides of the frame.

Optional: Add embellishments to your frame. For example: green ribbon and foam decorative shapes are a nice touch. If you do not have sticker back foam shapes use glue to attach and allow to dry. Also use glue to attach your ribbon. If you prefer, construction paper could be used as an embellishment as well.
