What Is 1 Hour for Schools?

1 Hour for Schools is a nationwide volunteer movement created by PTO Today to help strengthen school communities, starting with one simple ask: volunteer for just one hour.

Parents and caregivers are encouraged to pledge one hour (or more) of volunteer time during the school year, whether that means helping at an event, prepping materials at home, joining a committee, supporting teachers, or pitching in however they can.

Every adult who takes the pledge helps us in our mission to build stronger, more involved school communities across the U.S. Plus, every pledge counts as an entry for their school to win $3,500!
