Make Your School Auction a SuccessAuctions Photo Gallery — Your PhotosClass Art ProjectsPics of two class art projects that I have done. Shared by CMay2CK defaultAuctions Message BoardsThe ULTIMATE Donation List I've noticed that a lot of the listings for auction/raffle donations are quite old. Both the economy and company policies change over time, so I am starting a new Thread. I have found it tedious to go through pages and pages of a thread to get what we all really want - Names and contact info of national corporate donors people have been successful with. So, I ask the following:
PLEASE:
1) Only list sources you have had success with.
2) If you have questions for a poster, please contact them directly - not through this thread. This thread is supposed to be a Listing.
3) Use the following format for your listing
COMPANY NAME
-- Mailing Address -or- URL for online form
-- How long it took you to get a response
-- What did the company donate?
-- Your comments

The Art auction where the classes each made their own group project (a real glass platter, we bought the kits online) and individual projects that all the parents buy for $25 each. The group platters sold for around $800 each and parents love the idea.

Anything that involves teachers is a big hit at our annual auction. The one that generated the most money was "A Bedtime Story". Our Preschool teacher came to the home of the winning bidder and read the child a bedtime story. This was auctioned off during our live auction and people were going crazy . It was so popular, she offered 3 more that night. Each one sold for $375! Pizza and bowling with our Jr. High teachers is a big one as well.
Great suggestion- thank you! Sometimes at our school there is a bidding war for an activity with a teacher and the teacher agrees to do 2 -- more money for the PTO (and it benefits the teachers in the long run.) mjr523 - 09-30-2010
without a doubt, our most popular items are tickets to University of Kentucky or University of Louisville sporting events... especially basketball games!

Each year our principal donates somethign for the kids, this past year she donated a family movie noght at the school for up to 50 people. It included the movie, drinks, popcorn and snacks and was in our gym, so could use it over the summer rain or shine! It went for $225. We also raffle of front ro seats to all our concerts, graduations and special events. Our closest parking spot went for $1600. But our most unusual Auction item is usually from our parish priest, this past year he dressed up as a Transformer in a home made costume with a helmet and sheild that he bought and this was the Auction item along with the DVD' set of the movies this was Auctioned for $150.Thenhe and a fellow Priest Auction off a game of golf against them for the coveted "golden sneaker" and this went for $425.

I forgot to mention first row seats for the 5th grade promotion. We sold two sets of 6 seats for $525 each. This item requires nothing extra beyond a ribbon around the chairs! Our classroom themed baskets went from $50-$325. Autographed items for your local sports team also may do well. We had 2 signed jerseys (Chargers-Rivers, Sproles), football (Cooper) and catching gloves (Gates, Tomlinson) that brought in $1325 together. We tried something new this year: Front of the line privileges for lunch (often 4th and 5th grade lunch buyers do not get their choice of food because there is little left). This sold for $135 this year. I imagine after the kids get wind of it, next year's will go for more.
