How do I sum up our appreciation for the hard work, extra hours, and dedication to our kids in just a few sentences? I always find this part daunting so thought I'd share what I've come up with this year and maybe fire up your creative juices. Or, feel free to blatantly copy, that's fine too.

EXAMPLE #1

Dear <Teacher Name>,

Thank you for your hard work, dedication, and the extra effort I know you put in to make your classroom a place our kids enjoy, and where they have so many opportunities to learn and explore. I’m always impressed how you incorporate what the kids bring in to the classroom, even a big dirty ice chunk off a car in the parking lot!

On behalf of the <class or grade> parents of <School Name> - a great big Thank you!

Best,

Kathryn

EXAMPLE #2

Dear <Teacher Name>,

Thank you for everything you do to make your classroom a place where our kids enjoy learning and have so many opportunities to explore. I especially appreciate how you include parents and keep us feeling involved by sending emails and writing blog posts so we can continue the discussions and learning at home.

On behalf of the <class or grade> parents of <School Name> - a great big Thank you!

Best,

Kathryn
