We are a Home and School Association. We approved a specific line item to fund a science lab. The Principal wants to use that money to help pay for the move of the computer lab, if they run short (we have money for that in the budget). Can we let her do that or do we need to have a general vote to ammend the budget?

Craig writes: I think it would be OK for the board to approve additional funds for the move and to put the science lab on hold. Then at a general meeting you can make the decision on whether to fund both, cancel the science lab, or find the money somewhere else in your budget.
