Deleted a few "email me" posts. If you have this info, please post right here on the boards.

Thanks,

Do any of you hold a free clothing drive for your students & their families? We do this twice a year. We ask for gently used clothing, shoes, coats, backpacks & sports gear. We then open the gym up for a day so those that are interested can "shop". It has saved many parent from spending so much on clothes. Besides, what's a better way to give back to your school? Any clothing left behind is donated to the Salvation Army. They don't charge or spend as much money as the rest of the 2nd hand stores.

15,000 POUNDS!!!! That's awsome. Our school usually is right around 1,000 pounds. We love this program. We do it in spring & fall. There really is not much work involved. Our principal lets us use 1 whole hallway near the front of the school. The day of the pickup I have a bunch of 5th graders to help bring the bags to the front curb of the school. The truck comes and they load the bags on-about 2 weeks later we get our check!
