Each month our Home and School Association, lead by the Spirit Day Committee, sponsors a theme for the month.  During the month of October we “Celebrate the Spirit of Healthy Choices”.  Activities in the past included celebrating Apple Crunch Day where all of the children are given a delicious red apple and simultaneously crunch into it with a countdown over the loud speaker at 2pm.  The children talk about it for days and we give the tooth fairy some extra business in those crunching moments. A local market supports our efforts with donation of over 600 apples to our school.  Parents volunteer their time to wash and bag apples for all the classrooms in our school.
