Question: Resignation and Checks

I resigned from our PTO and need to know what to do if checks were written with my signature on them without my authorization. Over a month lapsed prior to my signature being removed from the account. Bad practice of signing multiple checks, I know, but no longer being president, isn't that unauthorized use? How should this be handled?

If your name is still on the account, you should be able to go to the bank and have it removed. It sounds like this has already happened, however, so there's not much more action to take. If you're concerned about a misuse of funds with your name on the check, notify the principal and/or the police, as appropriate.
