Question: Teachers on the PTO board

Can a teacher be on the PTO board if she/he is a parent?

One thought to add...We have found that teachers can add a great deal to a PTO. They offer insights and a point of view that can help the group when it is making decisions about all sorts of things, such as: what would be helpful academic enrichment programs,what would make for a great field trip, and what technology tools would really help students.
